We planted carrots about 6-8 weeks ago. The leaves are about 8 inches tall. I've pulled a few strays to check their size and they are only about an inch-two inches and very thin still. How much longer do you think we are like? My 5 year old (who grew them) is growing very anxious.

For most places I'd say thin out in 4 weeks, the thinnings should be the most delightful sweet young carrots, and another 4-6 weeks and you'll be harvesting big 'uns.
