That is a leaf footed stink bug. There are many varieties of this insect and all except two are harmful. Yours is not the exception. Kill it and keep a close watch for eggs on your plants leaves. What's this bug? Good or bad?

The Assassian Bug and the Wheel Bug. Although the Wheel Bug is classified as a Assassian Bug. Wheel Bugs are easy to spot but many Assassian Bugs look like stink bugs. Assassian Bugs and Wheel Bugs both have a heavy duty proboscis which they use to impale and suck dry other insects. Stink bugs have a lite weight proboscis which they use to penetrate a leaf or stem of a plant. And Wheel Bugs have a half of a geared wheel on their "shoulder".Thanks Chuck for the info. Just curious. what's the name of the exception? thanks.

Also wheel and assassin bugs are more elongated than most of the other stink bugs. Wheel and assassin bugs are loners while stink bugs hang out sometimes by the dozen while destroying your garden.Great to know! Appreciate!
