and I've noticed a coleus "volunteer" has used the front walk as an anchor. lol

Salvia Uliginosa alongside flowers from July to late autumn

Miscanthus Cabaret with canna...a combination all summer and for a few weeks yet. Cabaret is always late to flower but prob has best foliage of all the miscanthus

love the pennisetum.

we have a variety here called 'rubrum', that we treat as an annual.
I have used it in containers-spectacular grass!

mg Guy, yes I have pennisetum rubrum too. Superb right now. Not sure picture has done it justice
If you lift your plants, pot them up and protect over winter....they need a min of 4 degrees and not to totally dry out.......they will be bigger and better next year. I divided some to make a bjg group of them for next year and plan to grow Salvia patens Cambridge, the pale blue one, with it.

Very happy with my white azalea. No idea what variety it is and it bruises easily so I'm making the most of it
