I have grown tomatoes for over 12 years and never experienced this before.

I believe it is bacterial speck but would like some advice from the tomato experts and how they fixed the issue. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Anthracnose maybe? Pictures aren't real clear but since I cant see it on the leaves that is a probability.

I am familiar with Anthracnose. This usually cause fruit to prematurely rott. Happens to my strawberries but bacillus (Southern AG Garden Friendly Fungicide) during bloom fixes it. Its a preventative measure that hasn't failed me yet.

The leaves are fine its the black spots on the tomatoes. Did a bit of research and copper spray should prevent it. I have been spraying copper once a week and after it rains. Maybe it spread a lot more since we have had massive amounts of rain the past couple of weeks. What a dissapointment since the plants themselves look better than ever.

Thanks,

I don't see any kind of halo around the black? What makes you say it is bacterial speck? That occurs on the leaves as well as the fruit. I cant see if affecting one without the other.

Site was down when I tied ro post last night:

I will get better pics tomorrow. Its dark now. I have never had bacterial speck so it just what I think. I am not sure of the actual problem. This problem is new to me.

I think leaves look normal but to be honest I didnt pay close attention.

I get home late today and watch a movie with my boys. Hopefully, as soon as I get home I will take pictures with my reading glasses this time.

Thanks!

It isn't anthracnose, like you said. In the fourth picture there is an "x" shaped black spot and possibly another one beside of it which is weird and not even a mark on the leaves. That makes me want to say that it is a bacterial or viral infection possibly cause by insect bites but I don't know what. As it progresses you may start to see things on the leaves or other symptoms such as halos forming around those black spots.
