My Ten Favourite 'True' Blue Flowers That I've Actually Grown
• Baby Blue Eyes (Nemophila menziesii)
• Blue Milkweed (Oxypetalum coeruleum)
• Cape Plumbago (Plumbago auriculata)
• China Blue Corydalis (Corydalis flexuosa 'China Blue')
• Desert Bluebells (Phacelia campanularia)
• Italian Bugloss (Anchusa azurea)
• Julia Phelps California-Lilac (Ceanothus x 'Julia Phelps')
• Love In a Mist (Nigella damascena)
• Trumpet Gentian (Gentiana acaulis 'Undulatifolia')
• Tuscan Blue Rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus 'Tuscan Blue')

I really wanted to put my Clematis x 'H.F. Young' on the list, but in truth it is only bluish-lavender.

Tower of Jewels (Echium pininiana) from La Palma in the Canary Islands. I've grown this plant in my Garden. It is arguably my favourite Echium, though there are many fine and flamboyant species in the genus. The flower corolla can be quite blue, but from a distance, the addition of red or pink ancillary parts gives a purple effect.
