It looks like it may have been sunburned. Another reason would be if you fertilized it. They use the insects they trap for all the nutrients they need. They also hate anything other than rain or distilled water.
The first reason why your Venus Flytrap is turning black may have to do with light. The plant needs a lot of sunlight to stay healthy, so if your plant is not getting enough direct sunlight, it may turn black.
Hi guys, just an update. All of the leaves slowly withered off. I had kept it in constant plate of water and I wonder if it had caused root rot. I did not use fertilisers and only watered it with rain water. For the sunlight, it was unfortunately a north facing windowsill. I had fed it flies three times. It had little leaves sprouting up before withering away so I'm hoping it sprouts more and that the whole plant didn't die
