Last year I cut down 2 big trumpet vines around end of March beginning of april. I did pour a concentrated root killer over the stumps and the stumps had holes in the barks. I did manage to dig out some roots, and I had my landscapers dig out as much as they could as well.
I fought all last summer with this thing. I stopped counting after 70 new shoots. Each time I used round up.
This year, I only found 10 new shoots so far, and this time last year I was about 40-50 new shoots. Is it possible I probably killed off some of the roots with the round up and winter weakened it to? Hoping I dont jinx myself saying that. I hear this thing takes 3-5 years to get rid of.
