I don't like Fuchsia nor Pelargonium, I don't want them in my garden.
But I love poppy and I really miss it - as far as I know it's banned in my country:(

That is an interesting comment DrCase. This forum is a lot more international than the previous one I used. Lots of new plant names cropping up & different ways of going about gardening too. I've heard of the U.S. zone system for plant hardiness but don't know how it works. Yard is another one - which I think is what we would call the back garden. Perhaps here in Britain particularly we do get a bit insular & think everybody plants the same stock.

I am not into annuals much. I prefer perennials. Perhaps I am weird but I have always felt it was a waste if they do not come back...

Anything EXCEPT petunias!!!!! I know they're big and blowsy and come in all colours but they do nothing for me I'm afraid  I grew them once and the stickiness when I was deadheading was just yuck! Perhaps I should give them a second chance next summer?

I like the list. I have planted several annuals for yard customers. Some of the flowers have been Dahlia, Lobelia, Begonia, Cosmos, and Poppy.

I would have expected Alyssum. Some of them may be white, but there is nothing that is just white there

I can understand some of them being banned, but all poppies? Surely some grow wild?

Poppies aren't banned here in Britain. Papaver, the large oriental poppies that produce opium can be grown for their flowers, but it is illegal to harvest them for opium.
