Leaf beet, not as sweet as chard. Yep, barlotta lingua di fuoco Some sort of Welsh climbing bean.

I was cleaning out the area in back of the barn--lots of self-seeded cherry tomatoes--and I picked the ripe ones to have with a bell pepper, arugula, and tomato salad with dinner tonight.
Not as colorful or prolific as Zig's pickings, but I'll take what I can get!

They are nice, I just lob em in me curry, takes about 15- 20 mins to cook

Thought the Lingua di Fuoco had been having sex with the Bridgwater beans looking at the colour of the pods with these ones

But the seeds say otherwise

I've found out that frying them also is a nice choice since it gives them a pretty nice flavor.

I like them too Will be growing them again next year as they get to a better size than the usual French beans.
