What a beautiful assortment of flowers, but it is still January, isn't it too cold for them (if your climate is similar to New York's) it must be very chilly where you are? Is the "Spring Festival" the same as your New Year (gung hey fat choi) beginning on January 28? The year of the Fire Rooster! This is also an important time of year in my ancestral home of San Francisco in California USA, where there is the largest annual Chinese New Year parade outside of China. During the times that i have lived in San Francisco it was always my favorite holiday with the Dragon dancers and full of so many rich traditions, the fireworks scaring off all the evil spirits, a
simply glorious two weeks. Is there a parade in your city?
