That's a Giant Leopard Moth (Hypercompe scribonia). The largest tiger moth in eastern North America. Very cool.

Last I saw that was on the 50 cal AA guns for the USS Alabama but that was 25+ years ago.
50 cal AA guns should be about right for the Canada geese around here.
