Seperating Fiddle Leaf Figs

Hi!
I purchased this fiddle leaf fig without realizing it was actually 2 separate trunks! It is growing very fast, does anyone know if they would benefit from being separated into 2 pots. I don't want them to have to gitb for resources.

The stress of separating them would be more damaging than any competition the trunks may experience. Unless they are on opposite sides of the pot, so their root systems are not intertwined, there is no advantage and significant disadvantage to separating them.
