Howdy,

I've been doing a ton of wood work lately, and I've been using untreated #2 southern yellow pine boards from Home Depot lately as it's much cheaper than pressure treated wood. Is this sawdust OK to compost? I only ask because there's still a California Prop 65 warning in the description still... I'm wondering if this is just a copy-paste on Home Depot's part that goes on all wood products. Anyone else use lumber sawdust for composting?

Thanks!

EDIT: ahhhh man... I just browsed Home Depot's site a bit more and found some untreated prime lumber that doesn't have the Prop 65... so the yellow pine must have been treated with something I'm assuming >.<

If it isn't CCA treated wood it is probably safe in compost but these days I wouldn't trust anybody.
