This is the first reasonable rain in about two months in my area. My four 45 gallon drums on each downspout are full. I use the wheelbarrow as my practical rain gauge. Half full is a good rain so there is still a bit to accumulate. Apparently this Spring we have received about 7% of the normal rainfall.

And barely 200 miles to the west of you, we're getting pummeled by rain! It's barely stopped for the last 24 hours and my furnace kicked on at about 4 am (set at 50F.)

My wheelbarrow over flowed a few times this month

You are lucky, because ours hasn't :( Last night it rained a bit, but today it seems it's going ot be a rainy day. According to my weather app this whole week is going to be a very rainy one, but we will see.

It has rained almost every day this month for us.

I am grateful for the weather because the 2 states south of us are flooding badly, and where I live we are only troubled with water in the basement. The water table is only 2 inches deep right now, and when I pulled an early carrot the nice, fat root was only 2 inches long. I guess it would not grow into the water????

The weatherman is predicting that today is the start of a dry spell that should last for 3 whole days: I hope the water goes down a bit!

Durgan, is there any chance of you coming to Kansas and getting some of this rain?

We have rain for the last two days, and finally I can see the sun a bit now. The good thing is with this cooler weather, I don't have to water my garden for the next few days.
