WellI I might have the fist one . The rain falling off one corner of my roof will fill it and spill over the edge.

Its serves no real purpose other than watching it fill Up and over flow into my creek bed .

Its simple old guy entertainment on a rainy day .

a thunderstorm is moving through this morning , my cable went out all I can hear is the rain pan .
it sounds like a jet going across the sky

Ah, I'm with you now, it's a nice idea. The simple things in life usually give us more pleasure whatever our age. I'm no Spring chicken either.
