Hi all, complete novice gardener here. We've got a flaming silver Pieris, it's not doing so well. Tips are brown, leaf fall, some red leaves and new growth but not really going the darker green we thought they should. Being novices we hadn't realised we needed ericaceous compost but it's been in that for 2+ months now and having ericaceous feed. Any ideas how to get this thriving? It will be planted out when we have figured out what we're doing with the masaive project garden we've now got. Once the project house is sorted. Thanks for your help

It's mostly in the sun. The tag says sun or shade but maybe it's getting too much sun. We can move it, thanks.

Scrolled down and saw Esther has asked just the question going through my mind, those photos look very bright, ours grew under trees.

This is mine, just this spring. its in mostly shade, some early sun, but not direct as my canopy trees are there, then as the sun moves the house blocks the sun and it ends its day in shade. They are slow growers, to get to this much blooms and height. it sat here about 3 years now. its about hip high now, just ran out and stood by it. new red growth on it which I love. And this is in grown, I am not one to keep plants in pots. @Jo_12345.
