Hello, my philodendron plant was growing quite fast and has been quite healthy for the last 8-9 months. Suddenly the leaves have started turning yellow and falling off at an alarming rate since last month. It has become quite bare. I water the plant only when the top 1 inch of the soil feels very dry. I tried feeding it organic liquid fertilizer which my other plants react to quite well, but I see no improvement. Please help! 🥺 Also, the temperatures here have risen to 36 degrees centigrade in the past 2-3 weeks. Can the heat be the reason for this? Appreciate any advice and thank you in advance!

It looks to me as if your plant is too dry. Does the pot have drainage holes? Ideally when the weather gets warmer, the plant should have heavy watering so that the water runs out of the bottom of the pot. I also think that the plant needs to go into a bigger pot, as it looks under nourished. As the growing season has begun, it is time to fertilise this plant. It seems to be desperate for food! The plant could also do with some humidity I think, so I would spray the leaves as well.
With some care and attention, hopefully it will revive!

Thank you for the advise! Will try to incorporate them :)
