Pepper plants look sick?

I am using self watering containers that I used last year without a issue, I was in south Carolina then but now in north central Pennsylvania. I planted/transplanted the tomatoes a couple weeks ago, and the bell peppers a couple days ago, they look burned that's the best I can describe it, it didn't freeze any nite I would think if the cold damaged the peppers it would have hurt the tomatoes? They were grown from seed, the peppers I didn't transplant yet look fine. Any idea? I brought the container inside till I figured it out.

Potting soil as per the instructions, I used the same process last year with no issues? The containers have a grate on the bottom and a fill tube that stick up to keep the water level right, I put fertilizer in the center of the soil, and a layer of lime. My peppers and tomatoes Loved it last year but the peppers something went wrong after 2 days?

Was there a sudden temperature drop? What was the fertilizer you used?
It dropped to about 45 and the fertilizer is a mix of Worm casing and other stuff I forget it's supposed to be for tomatoes and peppers

It's been between 70 and 45 in the area
IMO two things happened, neither of which separately would have caused this problem. One is the severe temperature drop and transplant shock that must have occurred. Second is fertilization at the same time as the temperature drop causing a shift in the amount of water stored in the leaves. I think the plant will recover but will lose the damaged leaves.
