I have 2 cherry tomato plants with beautiful clusters of tomatoes. One ripens at a time with days in between the next one. I'm not complaining; They're really only a snack anyone but I was wondering if this is typical?

Yes, it is. A complete cluster of cherry tomatoes will only ripen 1 or 2 and possibly 3 tomatoes at a time. As the season progresses you will have many clusters ripening 1 or 2 tomatoes at a time. After all, did the plant set all of the tomatoes in the cluster at the same time? Nope, it didn't. But not to worry. As the season gets warmer and the days get longer it won't take as long for a tomato to ripen
