That chair was quite a find. Looks really sturdy and well made. You did a super job restoring it(y)

Zigs, that looks like a Jacobean Revival chair, a style popular during the Victorian era. Notice the stretchers and legs. Here is an example:

I restored antique furniture for many years, and I HATED all those little round thingamabobs!
Your choice of upholstery is good, and enhances the chair.
I like great-uncle Zigs--looks as if he had an inventive mind, and great genes to pass down to other generations!

You did such an amazing job that now I would be ashamed to sit on this beautiful chair in jeans. Only in a long skirt to listen to Edward Grieg. And better in the music salon! :D

I put extra padding in it so you'd even be comfy sitting on it in a silk skirt and sipping Pimms whilst listening to Madame Butterfly :)
