Every year, I place most of my houseplants somewhere outside either on the porch or hanging on the north side of the fence. Earlier this summer, I cut back some very unwieldy sansevieria to keep it from poking passersby. Not wanting to throw the long leaves away I took them to the back porch and crammed them into a planter of ditch lily that had finished blooming.
This morning I dug one of them up and it had 3/4 inch roots on it! I took a picture and put the leaf back into the pot since I don't have any pots ready. After looking at the picture I realized it was so blurry you could barely see the roots. I'm disappointed but at least I know it did root. I'm thrilled!

Awesome! Congrats on your success! I have never been good rooting plants from leaves, glad it worked out for you :) I'd love to see a clear pic

It's wonderful!:) A similar thing happened to me. Some time ago, I planted a miniature rose cutting. It was very small, so I was sure it won't survive, but I decided to give it a chance anyway. Now, I have a new plant:D
