Hi all! I’m absolutely horrible at gardening but when we bought our new house and there were beds here, I decided to try pumpkins because I have an obsession with them, haha! They were doing so well and all of a sudden the leaves are turning yellow! I can’t figure out if they maybe got too much water, or not enough? It’s been so hot and dry here but my husband let the sprinkler get to them while he was watering the lawn and so I’m not sure if they maybe got too much? I know we aren’t really supposed to get the leaves wet… It looks like I was going to have one pumpkin but the flower died off - is that bad? Thanks in advance for any advice!

That is a pumpkin growing so the flower is passing on to the great garden in the sky. You need to fertilize with a low slow release nitrogen fertilizer that has calcium and iron such as a tomato fertilizer. You can overdo the N, but they need a lot since they grow fast and big but have silly little roots.

Thank you so much - I’ll give the tomato fertilizer a try! Really appreciate the response!
