I tried my first attempt at propagation around 2 months ago with my monstera and it was a slow start, but I’m so proud of how it’s looking now! What do you think?

Well done, there is something particularly satisfying about creating a new plant. Those roots (and the fact that it looks so clean) look like you did it in water. I had never noticed before someone mentioned it in a thread about propagating tomatoes from side shoots, but water roots and earth roots look quite different smooth, not hairy. Four months to Christmas, that's two presents sorted :)

Lucky you! Whenever I try this, the cutting doesn't root or rot, it just sits there vibin'. :ROFLMAO:
Something I tried with a tomato side shoot, and it worked beautifully. I put it in compost in a polystyrene cup with holes punched in the bottom and then stood that in a much larger cup. Fill the larger cup with water and the poly one floats, this means you are getting the best of both worlds, it is in water and it is in compost at the same time. Also, because it floats, you can put in loads of water and only have to top it up very occasionally. I don't think it will be in time to get anything off it this year, but I shall certainly be trying it next spring.
