My avocado plant needs help

So I’ve grown an avocado plant from a seed, ( I’ve been growing it in water because I don’t want it to grow into a full tree, more of a house plant) it’s been doing well, it has a lot of sun, and I change the water every week. up until recently, I’ve noticed that the leaves were starting to curl on the edges. And today one of the leaves are starting to dry out. What should I do? I’m planning to move it to a bigger jar. Should I move it to a pot and soil?

Haven't grown one of those yet, but I would transplant that into soil if it were me.

Would you happen to know the reason why my plant turned out that way?

I do not. Is it getting full sun? It looks awesome aside from the stress it looks like it's under.

It should have been potted up a while back ,infact they are better grown in compost from the start .if in full sun probably got too hot for the roots where a pot would protect here’s a photo of mine.
