The Peony lovely , my camellia being stubborn and not wanting to flower even though its got buds on. Had a frost this morning and forecast lows of -2 C tonight (n) . Last night I wrapped the wisteria up and put another layer on this evening , for the past 2-3 years a hard frost has wiped out all the flowering buds on it , I've never seen it in all its glory yet. Sowed some more seeds this morning and pricked out some digitalis gigantea - stewartii and some agastache golden jubilee .

Digitalis gigantea? Wow! Need to google how big it is! No frost on my lawn as yesterday was quite warm, but not sure about tomorrow. Either way, it will be cold until Tuesday and I have been very impatient as my kale and some pak choi can go out. I have already made a raised bed for them. I also want to make a box for my water melon, after seeing Larisa's feat of achievement.

Agastaches are toughies and I bought 2 for £2 each and they are still alive. I have separated quite a few lilies and put 6 in the front and 8 at the back.

Camellias do like a bit of heat and sunshine. I kept them on the east and west facing walls and I literally left them in a bit of water (as we are very hot and droughty here) and they all flowered except one very tenacious Princess Levinia (pink and red stripes)! :banghead:

Today's a bit grey.

As been a lovely gardening day with plenty of sunshine mowed the lawns and a good tidy, as we are heading to Sweden on Saturday for a week to see the eldest son and family it will be nice to spend time with the 2 grand children.

Good morning to all and to a very cold morning. @Zenj Hope you have a nice trip and you and yours are going to wrap up very warm as it could be very cold in Sweden!

Sun is gloriously shining - so nice to live in the south, but don't mention the drought!

Going to buy some chicks, after giving up on the little incubator as son failed to see if the eggs are fertile! It's not easy to do. Will get 4 to 6, but they are quite expensive.

Someone from the double-glazed company is coming to repair the door. Now that the air is cold and the doors won't expand half as much, I am sure he would say there is nothing wrong with the doors!

Wish I had used the nematodeslug earlier. Yesterday, I checked all my snowdrop seed pods - all snapped in the middle of the stems .. There goes my dreams of having babies!:banghead::eek::cry::inpain:

Was watching Grand Designs and found it too jumbled and couldn't get any ideas from the clips .. Was very touched after watching half a couple finish their dream! A man died 6 months from cancer after the introductory video and left his beloved to finish to house. It was so cheap and the outcome is a customised house! Fantastic and inspirational!

So Alexa is spying on what is said! It doesn't take a genius to work it out! Every time I want to buy something, the products I have viewed keep coming up even though I'm not actually searching for it. Fleabay is one big example. I was toying with the idea of buying a lace curtain and clicked the basket and now have got an order to complete the deal. All this dad giving you instructions on how to cook a certain dish is just so unnecessary. I might change my mind when I had grandkids .. But I thought there was video link .. Supply creates its demands and people just like to appear posh and trendy! Great that they keep the economy rosy as it will go bust if it relies on my contribution!

Last year a customer of mine was showing and telling me to talk to her Alexa that her sons had just bought her. I was very creeped out talking to that thing and won't ever get one. Her Alexa did play Chopin's funeral march at my request.

That's a bit macabre and sad! I reckon your association with the church made you make that request!

All driven by money and spend, spend, and spend! To tell the truth, there isn't a lot we need to buy .. apart from basics such as food, clothes... At one point, I didn't even buy kitchen rolls. A piece of cloth will suffice!

I have been burying pots in various parts of the garden as lining up the two sides of the garden with pots really doesn't look nice. I had great difficulty digging in between pots and dahlia tubers. This morning, I spotted a huge hole in between those two. FOXES were at work big time! I suspect either some tubers had been displaced or a plant stolen!

Now, the hole is home to my £2 standard Acer! Quite nice! Actually!

Well I think it's beautiful music and I always get a few laughs from my brothers and sister and their families when they visit and have turned my place into a mad house with all their noise, I just sit down at my piano and play that tune as loud as my piano will allow. It's fun and soon I get my house to myself again.lol

It's like playing classical music in shopping centre to disperse unruly teens loitering ..

I prefer this one more

Another cold day and it's a bit grey. My 2nd viewing is on today! A lot to tidy up.

Water melon seeds have sprouted - very pleased and hopefully, most seeds can go out on Tuesday!

My Acer standard £2, flanked by Ilex x 2. Acer is now on the hole dug up by Mr Fox! The tall ones are Cornus Rubra and Cornus Rainbow! No much chance of them flowering as they are all in pots!

Around there are penstemon Mother of Pearl, Sour Grapes? Thalictrum, Stipa .. and viburnum plicatum Mariesii!

I so wanted to go out to gcs too, Perki! But I was scared that I would buy, buy and buy! As it is, I had to bury quite a few pots so that the garden didn't look too messy for today's viewing. The jury is still out! If we had gone out, we would have come home with more!

I really like this aryg??? I'm so tired of the long German name! (not German, but it's like German spelling - long and pointless) Pink crown beauty will suffice!

Very fed up with the process and extremely panicky at the prospect of having to dig up all the plants. :banghead::inpain::cry: Just the thought of it scares me stiff.

No rain for us! Kent, probably! All the more tears from me. I'm already dreading drought!
