The garden is looking great this year. However, a few of my plants have decaying leaves I’m noticing this on the Swiss chard and beet leaves.

All other greens and lettuces are fine - any ideas what is root cause?

I have tried removing the affected leaves, but it doesn’t stop the decay from happening on new leaves.

I’m reading possibly it may possibly be bacterial soft rot?

Not sure if it can be salvaged from this point.

Could be leaf miners, they are both prone. Veg oil and dish soap emulsion, dilute and spray thoroughly to suffocate them. Insecticides don't work because they are in the leaf.

If I were you Alan I would get those plants on the bonfire asap and clean the area well. I think your diagnosis was correct.
