Hi,

I want to use some laurels as screening at the back of some decking. I only need them to reach a height of 4 feet or so and will maintain them at that height. I will occasionally need to access the area behind them so am thinking to grow them from pots (rectangle troughs say L x W x D being 48 x 8 x 8 inches). Will I be able to maintain them like that or will they not thrive if restricted in a pot ?

Thanks

Shawn.

Welcome. Would you please update your profile so that we can see what part of the country you are in :)

Laurel wants to grow big and is happier to be in the soil. It would be a bit like trying to put a size 12 foot into a bootee, and it may be better to choose a different plant.
