Knockout roses

I am excited this year. I plan to buy a couple of rose bushes. I had started a couple but my goats ate them. I found that my goats were too much to handle and gave them to our 4-H advisor so now I am free to get roses. I miss my goats but not the hassle!

I bought a Knockout a few weeks ago . I planted it in my mail box bed , should get all the sun it wants

It is still too cold here to get them. I was at the nursery yesterday and they do not even have them yet. I am gonna get them though! I think I may put one by my mailbox too!

It totally depends on my muse. I am especially bad when observing the miracles of spring. Absolutely my favorite time of year.

I think I will go heavily prune my knockouts. They get so tall so fast. And we will not have frost until late November so they can harden off. The neighbor has a horse that gets them when they grow taller than the fence.

The new growth needs 45 days or so to get ready for winter.
