Javanese knotweed

Glad to read this week that Japanese knotweed is much less of a problem in the uk than previously stated. The royal institute of chartered surveyors has seriously downgraded the danger to property. As a professional gardener for 20 years I'd say golden bamboo is a bigger problem. Only ever plant it in a large container.

formerly Polygonum cuspidatum) was downgraded in the U.K.
Yes, I should think so, British homes are surely built of sturdier stuff than that.
