I've never grown irises before and I just got these rhizomes from a neighbor a few months ago. I planted them in various places throughout my property and all 14 of them are growing. The two largest plants are having a problem with some of the leaves flopping or drooping downward. Does anyone know why this is happening?

I've been watering them so I don't think it is lack of water.
I live in northern AZ so I don't think it could be too much water, either.
I have not used any fertilizer at all on them.
It hasn't been that hot lately, either, so I don't think it could be the heat.

I have the brick border there to protect them from getting weed whacked.

My neighbors have irises and from what I can see theirs don't have this drooping floppy problem.

Besides temp or water issues, plants are reverting flow as they ready for fall. It may not seem likely, but average temps are easing and we have already lost 1.5 hours of daylight so they know fall is coming. If you fertilize try some K, it helps them stand up strong. Not sure what your soil profile is so sorry I cannot be much help.
