Hi All!
I am a new gardener and recently bought a lovely bearded iris. The label says “full sun to part shade”. The place I want to plant it gets mostly morning sun (approximately 7am-noon). Is this enough?

I know full sun is 6 hrs and part shade is 4-6 but I don’t know if morning sun is good enough.

Thank you!!!

Sun is sun whatever time it is, and your Iris should be very happy there. Don`t forget to leave the top part of the Rhizome (root) exposed to the sun. This will encourage and improve flowering. Welcome to the forums :)

Thank you! I didn’t know about the rhizome rule, that’s very good to know.
