Congratulations and good luck. The dragon fruit bears fruit in less than 2 years after planting. But it needs something to crawl on like a trellis or maybe a post that it can climb so it will be encouraged to bear fruits faster. I don't know if it needs fertilizer but the only fertilizer we give our dragon fruit is the water used to rinse the meat and fish in the kitchen. By the way, the dragon fruit loves sunshine so do not plant it in a shaded area.

Thank you! I put the dragon fruits in this container to get it to root. When should I put it in it's permanant container? I will trellis it once it's in the large container. It's kind of growing sideways because it was in the shade and it went to sunlight. Will it grow upright? Do I have to gradually stake more and more of the plant to get it straight?
