And pictures of the leaves, limbs, trunk and base of the tree too. Otherwise we'll just be guessing

What is your location? Is it in a pot? Indoors or out? What low temps have you been experiencing?
Hi,
We are in central Victoria, it’s been planted for about 3 years.. we have had some horribly strong winds... and the weather has been erratic... hot then cold...
I will take some photos when I get home!
Thank you

The only time I have ever seen a tree completely denuded was is a hail storm and this rivals if not surpasses that. The good news is that 95+% of the tree is alive and I would be very surprised if at this time next year you would never have guessed something had happened. I think it is all weather related. Mainly wind. Wind can do strange things to a plant. There really isn't much you can do. I would take this opportunity to remove all of the dead wood and then I would get a soaker hose and place it all around the base of the tree out to the drip line and flood the tree. When the tree begins re-leafing it will use a LOT of nutrients so I would also fertilize.
