I had this Mango tree growing in my room since September. I think I noticed in November that the tips got a bit brown but I never really worried. But since the beginning of January its been getting these weird orange-ish spots. Could it be a pest? Or is it insect damage? I did have some gnats but I think I got rid of them. Should I spray a bit more pesticide?

That pot seems kind of small for a mango, additionally it's effectively made smaller by the level of soil being so low. I'd recommend repotting it in a larger container and ensure to guard against very moist soil (poor drainage), as stated in this link: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/mango/mango-trees-in-pots.htm
I don't think it is too small. I've repotted it a couple time and the root system is not that big. Actually, I think that this pot is a little too big. The mango does not grow too fast. It grows 1 or 2 new leaves every month or so. I don't think it's going to outgrow it anytime soon. Also, the mango tree in the picture on the site looks like it's in a much smaller pot then mine if you compare the girth of the stem. I think I'll check out the root system just in case.

@Pablo you are in zone 11. Why are you growing a mango tree in a pot? Mango trees naturally grow to be huge. Why don't you grow the tree outside in the soil?

Mango is a wild one....they don't do well with taming. They need lots of space for roots and tonnes of full sun. It is also a nutrient hog!! I would never recommend growing it indoors or in a pot

I do not "mango specialist", but i also want to know how you have grown mango? Just for me, mango seedlings are not available for climatic reasons, but fruits are available. Earlier, when the children were small, they took a Mango seed and planted it in a pot. Mango was growing so fast! It was big for a few days. We used the soil for flowers from the store.
Of course, if you grow any - that special sort, probably it will not be easy to replace. But I think that the plant has little chance. I think the problem is with the roots.
