Help identifying shrub

Planted in Kelowna bc. evergreen, thorns on older growth. Hopefully someone can identify, trying to figure out how to prune it.

Nothing there seems to match, but I’ll give it a closer look tonight.

The berries looked green. Perhaps as they ripen the color will help. Also beside fruiting, some of the botany would include number of leaves per stem, viening, shape etc and is usually available in pictorial form on the web.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it reminds me of a Pyracantha.
