Have you seen any pollinators?

I have a Burbank plum and 4 Nanking Cherries blooming for at least a week now. It's been to cold for the pollinators to come out. Yesterday I finally saw several Monarch butterflies all over the Nanking and a few bees. Usually they are swarming over the blooming trees.
I am not sure about you guys but this season might not be great for early blooming perenials.

Every year I have tons of pollinators, including this year. My secret....very diverse collection of "weeds". My yard is full of plants I allow to grow naturally among my cultivated plants and they are the workhorses for attracting pollinators.

I never worry about pollinators as we have them in abundance. Many beekeepers move their hives to this area for the winters and as a result bees are in abundance, fortunately.

The big wild card here for fruit trees is always the late frosts/freezes. Those often determine the success or failure of the crop in any given year. So far so good for this year but I have seen snow here April 15 so not out of the proverbial woods yet.

Every year when the temps get into the 50s, honey bees come out and are always rolling around in my chicken feed because there is no pollen yet for them. Then they just up and disappear out of the feeders. I think for tree pollen.

Zone 5b had a warm spell in February. Now the early blooming trees are flowering but the temperature has not helped any. Today it is snowing after 2 days of rain. The Burbank Plum is just about done flowering with not many warm days for pollination.

I will be surprised if I get any fruit from the early bloomers due to no pollinators because it's just to cold.

Property is in the middle of a forest. Polinators visit by the thousands due to all the blooming fruits.
