I am getting extremely frustrated by my lack of success at grafting tomatoes. I have meticulously followed the procedures illustrated on numerous websites which show success rates exceeding 90%, So far my success rate has been exactly 0% for about 50 attempts using several different techniques. It seems that there is an extra step that I am somehow missing. I am beginning to suspect that or the idea of being able to graft the root of one tomato variety to the scion of another is a giant hoax.
Has anyone discovered the secret of successfully grating tomatoes ?

I was hoping to avoid the wilting problem with my heirloom varieties by grafting them onto a disease resistant hybrid variety.

Oh I see, I hope that you have success with it. Have you tried watching any YouTube videos? They're really good.
