Blake from Alabama here...it's been about 4 years since I've even had the time to do any gardening, so I am looking forward to getting back into things by getting our 5 raised beds ready to plant this spring. I started a business that had me working crazy hours during the startup phase and those beds have been nothing more than a crab grass farm since then, so I'll have some work ahead of me :D

Also looking forward to learning more here and interacting with the community!

They do downtown but we're too far out for them to pickup. In the past I've shredded them up to compost or burned them and used the ashes as an amendment.
I have an 8hp troybilt chipper shredder but I too have found burning more to my purpose since I wet the final stages of the burn to get charcoals to mix with the composts. Plus its fun and even a social evening.
