I think 80° Feb. weather tricked my garlic to be ready to harvest 2 months early. Plants died April 1st & today I dug up 39 garlic bulbs. Nice garlic but they won't win a beauty contest. I planted garlic 6" deep this year to keep 5° from freezing the bulbs. Garlic goes on the drying table for about 2 weeks.

That's considerably better than my harvest this year...just not a good run for garlic this year here.

What variety is that?

I have been planting Walmart Hard Neck Garlic from the produce department for 10 years. I buy garlic July 15 then keep it cold in our kitchen refrigerator until Sept 15 to plant it. Garlic bulbs usually have about 1 dozen cloves.
