Found this growing in my carrot rows! Looks like a fungus of some sort. I'm hoping it's harmless and the carrots are ok?

Mycelium is the vegetative body for fungi that produce mushrooms and, in some cases, species of fungi that never produce a mushroom. When compared to a plant, mycelium is the root system and the mushroom is the flower. You have nothing to worry about because mycelium is harmless to the soil and the plants. It lives off organic matter and is doing its job of decomposing and using the soil to best suit the environment, and its a very good sign.
