I am new to gardening. (I also work long hours most of the week). I plantes some strawberry seeds last week (yes I know it's better to plant them way earlier in the year).

Watered them consistently, then forgot one day. Waterrd them hust once in the morning Hot sunny day. Next day, the top part of the soil was dry. Is there any chsncd they germinate?

And if not, what about if it was a shorter time (say, 3 or 6 hours in dry soil without watering).

Sorry if this is a silly question. I am a complete newb, never gardened in my life.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum, plenty of good reading for a novice gardener here.
They might still make it. How did you plant them? Strawberry seeds need to be on the surface and need light to germinate. They are far easier to grow from the runners they send out after flowering, if you can find someone who grows them, unless they are the Alpine type that don't produce runners.
