Colchicum x 'Giant' (often written 'The Giant') is one of the largest garden forms of its genus. It's large, showy flowers also make it among the most popular and commonly grown varieties. It is a hybrid of unknown parentage.
Colchicum are often called Autumn-Crocus, but it is a poor common name because there are also true Crocus that are Fall-blooming.
