I have a neighbor (that may be a stretch, the couple live approximately 15 doors down from me) who has some beautiful prickly pear cactuses, pomegranates, and a lemon tree. It always makes me terribly sad seeing their yard when I drive by every day because the fruit is never picked and either drops or rots on the trees.
My question is what is proper etiquette for asking about picking these? I do not know the couple and rarely see them outside.
Thoughts?

If you are comfortable enough I’d go up and knock just ask.. no harm in asking right??
Fingers crossed for you that you get the nod! In that case.. HAPPY PICKING!
