Does English Lavender need to be cut back a bit during Spring? It’s all growing fine but I read online that it needs to be cut during this time? I got this plant last year during early summer when it already had flowered so I’ve only pruned it hard in August last year

Usually it's done after flowering but can be done now to tidy it up a bit. Don't cut into the old wood because it won't grow back. Just trim the new green growth, but looking at it, it doesn't need a lot done to it.

English Lavender benefits from a light trim in spring. Prune it as new growth starts, cutting back by about a third or to the point just above where new growth is emerging. This helps to maintain shape and promotes healthy, bushy growth. Avoid cutting into old wood as it might not regrow. Regular pruning after flowering in summer is also recommended to keep the plant compact.
