I had a beautiful fiddle leaf but the mealy bugs got to it and I lost it. However, I read a blog that said to keep the stems and put them in indirect light and that they might rejuvenate themselves. Should I cut the stems to where the leaves are sprouting?

When your leaves fully open and spread out, you can cut the old trunk off. You need enough leaf to process photosynthesis and turn the sun rays into food. You can scratch the old wood on top and if you hit green, then wait, but if you hit brown, you can prune any brown wood at any time. Good job ebthrasher!
