Do Not Cut Off The Leaves

Guy put his Banana Tree in my Greenhouse.

He was looking at it from the door.

I've got to cut the Leaves off my Tree there is way too many.

??? What are you talking about? My Tree it has about 8 Leaves.

No there is two trees there your Tree only has three.

He goes back and looks. Oh!

Well he did it anyway cut the leaves off his tree.

Don't let him near your plants - just tell him he has a very nice stump!

They'll grow back in the summer.

... but we can still call him stumpy for a laugh. I believe the banana belongs to the herb group, similar to sedges, and is not a tree.

He has Mental problems. It is the reason he is on Disability.

He is very good with Electronics.

But I have seen many of his plants setting in water because he listens to my Son as far as drainage.

Well I cut couple leaves off mine today. They was looking bad.

Bananas don't form a true trunk, so cutting them off 12-18" is fine.

Was just reading this I can plant them out and cut them off and mulch well and they do fine.
