Do lilac bushes flower in August?

I was in a back yard where a lilac bush had some flowers in which a few florets had opened. What type of lilac flowers inn August?

My Syringa microphylla is currently flowering and flowers several times a year. It's a small leaved variety from Korea. scented, doesn't get too big and doesn't sucker.

I have three varieties. one that does bloom late. what type, who knows.

Syringa pubescens subsp. microphylla 'Superba' is a late blooming lilac.
