I stole this;

Those old equations that made up one-third of the old BCS formula are still spitting out rankings even if that postseason format is dead.

Of those six, Alabama is No. 1 in just two. The Sagarin and Massey ratings have the Crimson Tide on top while it is as low as No. 3 in three of them.

Strength of schedule is the biggest issue in the (relatively) lower rankings. Alabama is as low as No. 64 in the Colley Matrix ranking of schedules. That figures to improve with AP No. 4 LSU up next Nov. 3 in Baton Rouge.

Either way, it's just for fun since none of these rankings have any direct impact on the College Football Playoff. The first round of standings is set for release Oct. 30, but this is always interesting when putting the season into context after eight weeks.

Sagarin

1. Alabama 102.92 ... SOS 51

2. Clemson 96.56

3. Oklahoma 92.47

4. Michigan 92.19

5. Ohio State 90.20

Notre Dame is hanging in the Championship race. #6 Texas is losing in an upset, and somebody named a $40,000 racehorse after the Alabama quarterback and last years Championship game winning pass.

Notre Dame is rockin its way to the top. Meanwhile pissed off LSU fans are protesting a defensive penalty for spearing whereby there top defensive man is suspended through the first half of the Bama contest this weekend. High times when you see LSU billboards in Birmingham,

and airplanes trailing banners sayin Free Devin White.

And on top of all that, Coach O came to see Tau and sat right in front of him as Taus' little brother and the grandson of Bear Bryant squared off in a high school football game. No pysch games coming out of LSU. Nope. None at all!

In honor of tonights matchup a pic of my man cave bathroom wall, a momento from Bama beating LSU for a championship once upon a time. This evenings game will be an exceptional viewing experience at least for the first half.

When LSU caves they do one heck of a job of it. I have been down here long enough to know to not be out in the public for a few days, The locals are in a foul mood.............you can also expect that this is the last season for the coach. I would not be even a little shocked if he is not gone Monday.

Coach O is perfect. There is no reason to be rid of him. He is still building a team. If course they got rid of one of the winningest coaches in the sec in order to beat Saban. No way they can replace someone to both beat Saban and a quarterback as good as Tua. They should be patient and have some corndogs. Saban will retire soon and they can rise as a result.

Dropping a goose egg to 'Bama in Baton Rouge, to the locals would be like slapping Momma after she spent all day making you an apple pie.
Don't see any news yet, but the day is not over. Some of the more brave reporters are saying the season still might be salvaged. If he makes the day, I am sure he finish the season, but not counting on next year.
