I so love Chirk Castle. The garden was most beautiful. First time we went, I was frustrated that it wouldn't open not until 11am. As we drove a long way from East London to Wales, we had to pack in as many places as possible. We left without waiting. The following time we went, I was so touched by how mature and beautiful the garden was!

It seems to us that the garden at Chirk is 'tired' and in need of major restoration. There are lots of empty and overgrown areas now. Sad.

I went there years ago in summer. I have had fond memories. Need to dig up the photos.
