Can someone ID this plant

My mom recently reported this plant as it was looking a bit sad. Unfortunately the plant seems to be getting worse. I think it's because she is overwatering it. Can anyone tell me what plant this is so I can actually research it. My mom used Earth grow potting mix. We took it out of the soggy container and I put it in some vigro potting mix that's not as wet.

It looks like a fig to me.

Fiddle leaf fig, and let the soil dry out between watering.
